FitPDF Terms of Use

1. Acceptance and service description

By accessing or using FitPDF, you agree to these Terms of Use. FitPDF is a browser-based utility that may reduce a PDF's file size or combine selected photos into a new PDF. Any output is a new file. You are solely responsible for deciding whether it is suitable for your purpose.

2. Your responsibilities

You represent and warrant that you have the right to process each document or photo through FitPDF. You must retain an original copy and any backup required for your records; inspect the resulting file before relying on it; use the service lawfully; and not attempt to impair, probe or disrupt the service or its security controls.

3. Important limitations

FitPDF uses compression that may reduce image quality. A requested output size is a target, not a guarantee: where the target cannot be reached within the service safeguards, FitPDF reports that result rather than representing that the target was met. Some files are not eligible for processing, including encrypted, malformed, digitally signed, active-content or otherwise unsupported documents, files in unsupported formats, and files exceeding the applicable service limits. FitPDF may leave unsupported content unchanged or decline to produce output.

Automated checks reduce risk but do not eliminate the possibility of errors. FitPDF is not an archival, evidentiary, legal, medical, regulatory-compliance or signature-validation service. Do not use it for documents requiring byte-for-byte preservation, signature preservation, archival certification or a specialised compliance outcome unless you have independently confirmed that the result is appropriate.

4. Advertising and paid plans

The free service may be supported by advertising displayed on its public pages. Advertising does not receive document data. Where offered, the Pro plan is USD $1 per month and removes advertising while providing access to the device-based processing limit. The Business plan is USD $2 per month and also provides batch processing. Prices, availability, taxes and plan terms shown at checkout govern the purchase.

Paid plans are recurring subscriptions processed by PayPal. FitPDF does not require a FitPDF user account. You are responsible for maintaining your subscription through PayPal and retaining the licence credential supplied after checkout. Access to paid features ends when PayPal reports that the subscription is no longer active. Cancellation or payment issues do not affect documents you previously downloaded.

5. Ownership

FitPDF and its content are proprietary to Lunar Uplink or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, you may use the hosted service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, resell or use FitPDF to create a competing service, except to the extent applicable law prohibits that restriction. Third-party materials remain subject to their own terms, available through the legal notices page.

6. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service, including a plan or feature, at any time. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Your continued use after that date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

7. Disclaimer

FITPDF IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY AND ERROR-FREE OPERATION. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES RIGHTS THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lunar Uplink will not be liable for lost or altered documents, invalidated signatures, lost profits, loss of data, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or relating to FitPDF. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the free service is limited to CAD $100, except for liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

9. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Canada, where Lunar Uplink is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your place of residence remain unaffected. Questions about these Terms may be sent to hello@lunaruplink.com.
