Privacy and Security

Local file processing

FitPDF is designed to process selected PDFs and photos on the visitor's device. The service does not accept file uploads, retain file contents, or transmit file information to advertising providers. Any resulting file is created locally and offered to the visitor's browser as a download.

Security measures

FitPDF uses measures intended to preserve this model, including separation between public-site features and file processing, restrictions on third-party access to selected files, and release checks designed to detect unintended transmission. The service validates compressed-document output before offering a download and declines to process files that are unsafe or unsupported.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for retaining original files, securing your device and browser, and reviewing every output file before relying on it. Local processing reduces disclosure risk but does not replace appropriate safeguards for confidential or regulated information.

Limitations

Compression and photo conversion may reduce image quality, and no automated process can guarantee that every output is suitable for every purpose. Do not use FitPDF for files requiring byte-for-byte preservation, signature preservation, archival certification, legal filing, medical use or regulatory compliance without independently confirming that the result is appropriate.

Security reports

To report a potential security issue, use the process in Vulnerability Disclosure. Please do not send confidential or personal documents with a report.
